This is the first in a series of small abstract works in which vibrant colours are used in conjunction with both visual and physical texture. I also have an interest in video art and I think that there is something about these new paintings that comes from working with video. Each shows an aspect of the whole and conveys a sense of 'transience', like a series of stills from a video sequence. It is an acrylic on stretched linen, will be signed and finished with a gloss varnish and white edges, unframed and ready to hang.
