After getting A grades at school in painting I gave it up when I left and then took it up again when I retired in 2000.

I am basically self taught, but have attended courses at Dulwich Gallery, the Morley College and the Thomas Carlton Centre.

I now paint mainly in oils, acrylics and ink and watercolour. I now paint mainly abstractsland and seascapes in oils and acrylics but used to do mainly still life. and sailing boats in watercolour. I am now trending towards a more abstract style, using knives.

I exhibit every year at the Horniman Annual, and have also exhibited at other galleries. My paintings have been sold to collectors in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.
