Sandro Cocco was born in Antwerp in 1973 in Belgium, under the sign of Cancer, from a belgian mother and an italian father. He studied painting at the Charles the Great academy in Antwerp. He experimented in addition to traditional painting materials such as watercolor, oil and acrylic with various other forms of expression such as écriture automatique, amorphous ink drawings, sculpture, installation, video, and finally analog and digital photo collage. After studying painting he concentrated mainly on making digital photo collage. Shortly after, he decided to study comic at St Luke's, Ghent. After his studies comic he focused on making free ink watercolors.
