I received my BFA from CSU Fullerton in 1995 where I majored in Drawing and Painting. Due to a serious illness, I had to put my work on the back burner for a while while I dealt with my health. I have fairly recently started painting and drawing again with my major emphasis on painting.
I'm not going to give a lot of BS for my artist statement. While I realize that there is validity in them, there can also be a lot of crap. I heard that in school. I basically paint because I am driven to. I have thought about 'the why' for a long time- I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter why. It's just part of me and that's all.
