I opened my studio in Saugerties N.y. in 1992...and have ,since then,shown my work in Germany, Italy, and the USA I was educated by my mother (an artist), Massachusetts College Of Art, and privately. I have an extensive exhibition history to which I am still adding annually. Beginning as an oil painter, I learned the antique technique of reverse oil painting on glass by assisting my mother ,where she replaced and repaired antique paintings. When I created my own portfolio of reverse paintings ,I chose to use an abstract technique to emphasize the glowing colors. My abstract paintings on canvas are based on my garden, which creates wonderful color and movement. I met a sculptor in the 1970's who encouraged me to try sculpting, and so began a love of three dimensional work , which I have never lost. Adding found objects to the mix simply made it more interesting!
