I am a Fine Art Photographer working in San Francisco. I have been photographing for over 30 years. I studied Art History and Photography at San Francisco State University and got a BA in Art History in 1982. When I started I worked in a more traditional way. But in the last few years I have created mostly abstract art. While some traditional photographs can be moving, I also find that there is a limit to them. Abstract work leaves more emotional room to move. My more abstract work has roots in the real world, but it also delves into spiritual realms. I am interested in using abstract photography to explore what most people overlook. The comment I get about my photographic works most often is that they look like paintings. Indeed, most viewers often think that I am a painter.
