Theory of art, after all that’s created and done! Is a self-expression of a creative experiment of a thought process? In art there’s no final solution! Just the demand for an unending performance, that’s invites constant reconsideration. I explore, color field theory, abstract expressionism, hard edge, and photographic imagery. Self-taught airbrush artist for 35+ years. The techniques I developed puzzle masking, bridge masking, pixel imaging, and freehand. The development of these techniques eliminates surface cutting, creating a softer airbrushed image and smooth professional surface. All canvas for realistic imagery, have a multi – sprayed finish developed to the surface of hot illustration board. The development of the art can be a combination of a photographic image or a technical construction exploring the content of color. For my photography reference work, I use both SLR and DSLR. The photos provide the necessary information for the painting and the opportunity for computer adjustment and printing study references. Also eliminates copyright infringement using stock photo references. The new exploration of art is using unprimed canvas, to let the surface texture create an added appearance. The Painting Series: Color Fields 101, using unprimed canvas help create texture and adds suede like finish to the artwork. for added appearance. The use of airbrush both hard edge and freehand, plus the development of custom made brushes for the bold application of color. Helps add color; creating an optical penetration, and the interaction of color from the innumerable applications, create the surface subdivision to the finished artwork. All unprimed canvases, and sprayed gesso surfaces, have a sprayed satin finish, to eliminate surface contamination to finished work.
